Description
Clinton Waterfall and Art Museum NJ by Regina Geoghan. An autumn landscape view of the Clinton waterfall of the South Branch of the Raritan River and an historic old grist mill that is now the Hunterdon Art Museum. A side view of the historic Hunterdon Art Museum gristmill building and partial reflection in the South Branch of the Raritan Rive, Clinton N.J. The former gristmill, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. was built in 1836 to replace a previous mill destroyed by fire. The original mill was built on this site in 1763 and, supposedly, ground wheat for General George Washington’s revolutionary army. The 'new' mill operated continuously until 1936. Planning began in 1952,to convert the historic building into an art museum. The museum exhibits contemporary art and design and offers a variety of art and craft workshops and classes. The Museum sits across the river from the famous Red Mill of Clinton on the opposite side of the waterfall.

Beautifully captured, Regina. Love the colors and those puffy clouds.

Thanks Paul. It didn't start out so well weather-wise but turned out to be a perfect day for photography.
