Description
NY and NJ - Winter Sundown Ice by Regina Geoghan. A view of the frosted Hudson River, Hoboken New Jersey and Lower Manhattan at sundown on a frigid winter day. Blue skies and golden sundown light turn the entire cityscape image into a study in blues and golds as the colors are reflected on the buildings and the ice-clogged Hudson River. If you look to the far background, you can see that ice packs on the river continue down to the upper New York Harbor and arund the tip of Manhattan Island. The river ice has made it difficult for New York Waterway and other ferry boats to make their way across and up and down the river. Tug boat ice breakers are being used to clear paths through the routes for the ferry boats.
