Description
Climbing up in the World NYC by Regina Geoghan. New York City's largest development project since Rockefeller Center was built in the 1930s held its Grand Opening in March 2019. This is Phase 1 of the massive project which is located on the west side of midtown Manhattan. Hudson Yards is built over railroad yards and is bing promoted as the new neighborhood of the city. It will eventually contain 17 high rise buildings and a school. At the current time, the primary redisential and office buildings have opened or are about to open with over 100 retail shops, many eateries including high end restaurants,a park and a climbable 16 floor structure with mre than 100 sets of stairs that visitors can climb. Here you can see "The Vessel" partially silhouetted against some of the shop windows as the night lights turn on and the buildings and structure are toned in blues from the twilight blue sky above.

A unique and outstanding image, Regina. Very much like both this and the B&W views although I think the color in this one brings out more detail.
Regina Geoghan replied:
Thank you Paul - glad that I caught it with the bright building lights in the background. I will be posting the color version of the vertical shot.
